New Hampshire Market Recap

We thought you might like to see how the housing market did in December. Last month capped off a historic year in the market, with record house prices, historically low interest rates, and declining home inventories, and the result was homes were selling faster than ever.

December 2021 vs. December 2020:

Median sales price: $400,000, up 14%

New listings: 691 vs. 814, down 15%

Total homes sales: 1,083, down 34%

Days on market dropped to 30 from 33

The expectation in the market is buyer demand will outpace the available homes for sale at least for the next few months as buyers seek to get ahead of rising interest rates and experts agree that home sales will continue to grow but at a slower rate than last year and home prices continue to appreciate.
